ABOUT NATALIE - FIBRE ARTIST

Natalie Granger is a fibre artist who works primarily with wool, creating expressive animal sculptures through the art of needle felting.
Needle felting is a tactile and meditative process that involves using a barbed needle to repeatedly pierce and shape loose wool fibres. With each stroke, the fibres tangle and compress, slowly forming solid, sculptural shapes that can be incredibly detailed and lifelike.

Her work celebrates the natural warmth and texture of wool, capturing the spirit and individuality of animals—from their quiet strength to their playful quirks. Every sculpture is built by hand, layer by layer, until the wool itself seems to come alive.

Through this ancient yet evolving craft, Natalie aims to bridge the worlds of fine art and traditional textile work, inviting viewers to see wool not just as a humble material, but as a medium capable of storytelling, depth, and emotion.
